Now of course. Zach's history timeline is like colonial Civil War, American independence, like that kind of stuff. Mine's a little more World War One to like, basically, frat boy history and Zach's more like, yeah, exactly. And yeah, in Greek mythology, really, I'm just kind of all over the place my history, but it is what it is. But anyway, so yeah, so this article came out. And so obviously, unfortunately, indigenous people, as they call them in Canada, or here in the US, it's Native Americans, or native or Canada to the common natives. Obviously, they had been oppressed, and they've had all this crazy stuff happen for a very long time. Unfortunately, even in Canada, which has been viewed as, like a very progressive country, unfortunately, has not always been that way. In the early years, yeah. So what happened wasn't happen here in the US, too, was there were schools that were built made for these Native American children to go to and they're mostly Catholic. So their whole idea was to change them from their native ways and make them Catholic. And the thought was in the the excuse was that the native ways was demons. So Catholic was, you know, basically saving their souls. Anyway, so there's this old yeah, there's old school in Canada. That's been around I think they said they closed it in like 60s or 70s. Like they've been around a long time. Long time. So been around? I don't know what prompted it. But they decided they were like, looking into it. mass graves. Oh, children died.

And these kids would try to at least kind of keep somewhat of their identity, which we all should have there. And I'm a big proponent of that, like, know your history, know, where you've come from, you know, lets you know where you've been, where you've been and where you're going. And, you know, trying to keep that basically, the schools are trying to get do everything they could to get it out of them. And sometimes it resulted in their deaths. And so instead of reporting it to their families, they would just bury them and nothing was ever thought of it because indigenous people were just like, no offense, and I know this is a hot button topic right now, but like, I feel like indigenous people were lowest on the totem pole as far as like social hierarchies, you and I mean, like I understand, you know, that's, that's most people during that time too. Yeah, like I understand, like, there were other groups that were oppressed very heavily, but I feel like indigenous have gone through the longest and the most compared to a lot of others. And we just don't cover that, because there's not a lot of them anymore. Yeah. Which is like, I would read, I know, people are gonna get triggered for me telling him that, but like, please do the research. You know, seriously, don't but please do the research. Like, I'm being dead serious. Like, I'm not wrong in saying that, like, you know, they, for a very long time. So anyway, obviously, you know, we had Christopher Columbus Day completely reversed now to indigenous holiday because of it like you don't mean like, it's bad. So anyway, so it gets to kind of my current point. So obviously, Canadians are very good about recognizing the faults and trying to make up for them. So they've decided, they say to make like the last day of September, indigenous day, which is kind of interesting. I don't know, they just decided to do that because of all this. So they did it. And of course, in every special day, there has to be a theme. So the theme color is orange. Which I was kind of like I fit that's kind of racist. Like, what does it have to be orange? Like, that's the indigenous digitus day color. So, so literally all over Canada. So like my cousins and my family that are up there, in that post on social media, were saying were orange on the last day of September for indigenous day. And like, don't get me wrong, like, and I know, Zach, I don't mean like, have good talks about it. But like, Ken is very good about being somewhat inclusive with a lot of things. Very, like, the problem is, is that they don't do their research when they think of things. So like, they'll like include things but it's just like the dumbest stuff that just doesn't make any sense. Like they orange. Like I like that's almost worse, like couldn't have like, couldn't have consulted some of the the native because they're still there. Unfortunately, they're still reservations for the native natives in Canada. And so he doesn't think they can, like consulted them and like, I don't know, like something better than just orange. Go grab them, dress them there and take meat with them. Oh, yeah, they also don't have to pay Yeah, they also don't have to pay any sort of sales tax. So like my grandfather, big if you ever want cheap gas go to in the natives, and they don't have sales tax on our gas. Oh, so like, I know that sounds sounds two birds with one stone. I know. This sounds terribly racist. But I don't think it's true. It's unfortunately. So like, sometimes, unfortunately, Canada Canadians don't always look great upon the natives because like, they kind of abuse this stuff. And it's just like, you know, but it's like, but they're, I mean, I've met a few of the great people, and it's a great culture, and it's one I wish I was a part of, but unfortunately, it's like, I'm not I'm Irish. And that's what they use you for. And it's just kind of like, No, I mean, there are rare talents that can do all of it, but it's like they don't coach that anymore. Like even at the young levels. Like I was very big on what you're saying when we coach like you coach like everything else will come later in life you coach or athleticism you coach there you give them the tools to at least understand the game and start the basics. But nowadays they want they want kids that can play and understand the game like professionals like it's crazy, crazy wild no more creativity is wild

how much games changed, but yeah, it's the creativity is almost gone football and I'm sure hockey the same way. It's it's so streamlined to a couple of systems. And that's got to be the way that things work. Because that's the way that this new generation does it because they haven't been exposed to a whole lot else. So it's, it's where I tell a lot of people in football, they're like, Well, I'm sure Kojak You were good. I'm like, No, I wasn't. I didn't really mentally get it. I worked my ass off, but I didn't mentally get it. Until maybe college. That's when like everything did I good at a good coach that made me understand like, you don't have to do too much. You just play your position. And as soon as you do that, everything opens up and like, and I'm like, oh, whatever, you crazy. And then halfway through my first year at Miami I'm like, oh, oh, well, damn. Right. This is what I've been. I've been losing my mind over write not that hard.

I think the the problem was we look at some sports history like the 60s 70s and the 80s were big and sports history of creativity and trying new things and beating up the norm that it kind of create a lot of the modern things now and now people are too afraid to reinvent zactly they just want to stick with the bread and butter this works it gets people in the stands as pays the bills it's gonna stick with it it's and then the horse parts who was mean Zack agree with us, then they've now put statistics behind it which I think statistics have killed sports. I really do I there I think there's a necessity for them. But to live off of them like these, like these new teams do like a business. It just ruins ruins I found Fortunately, it's great for the A's and it worked for them but I think money Bill killed everything. Because now hockey is doing it footballs doing it. They have all these analytics that those are just sports that never really had analytics like that, like so the players but best analytics are the worst players because they just know how to play secure to the analytics. It doesn't promote creativity, like some of the best minds some of the best people analytically or the worst, but it's just it's just that's how life is it's funny it is it's this
